Roleplay doesn't have to be complicated or awkward. Sometimes all it takes is a costume and a bit of imagination to shake up your routine and have some fun with your partner. Our range covers classic themes like nurses, maids, and police officers through to more creative options. We stock wigs too, because sometimes a different hair colour is all you need to feel like someone else for the evening.

Our costume range is split into themed outfits and standalone accessories. The outfits usually include a main piece, like a dress or body, plus any character-specific accessories like hats, stockings, or handcuffs. They're designed to give you the look without going overboard on pieces you'll lose or forget to put on.

The wigs cover everything from long, flowing styles to bobs and pixie cuts in natural colours and bold options like pink, purple, and platinum blonde. They're synthetic, which means they're affordable and easy to maintain, and they fit most head sizes with an adjustable internal cap. If you want to complete a look or just fancy being a redhead for the night, they do the job nicely.

The key to roleplay is not overthinking it. You don't need a script or a backstory. Put the costume on, get into character a bit, and let things happen naturally. Some couples find it easier to start with costumes as part of a themed date night rather than jumping straight into an elaborate scenario. A costume gives you a reason to be playful without anyone having to be the one who "starts it."

If roleplay feels too far outside your comfort zone, costumes also work brilliantly for parties, themed events, and fancy dress nights. They're versatile beyond the bedroom.

Most costumes are hand wash only because the fabrics and trims are delicate. Check the care label first, but cool water and gentle detergent is usually the safest bet. Lay flat to dry and avoid ironing directly on any printed or shiny fabrics. Wigs should be washed separately in cool water with a drop of mild shampoo. Don't brush synthetic wigs when wet because the fibres stretch and break. Let them air dry on a wig stand or a bottle, and only comb through gently once fully dry.

Dressing up introduces novelty, and novelty is genuinely good for long-term relationships. Research on desire and attraction consistently shows that couples who introduce new experiences together maintain higher levels of interest and excitement. You don't need to go to extreme lengths. Something as simple as one person answering the door in a costume can shift the energy of an entire evening. It's playful, it breaks routine, and it gives both people permission to step outside their usual dynamic for a while.

Pick something you both find appealing rather than something you think you should try. If neither of you is particularly into the nurse fantasy, don't force it just because it's a classic. Maybe a maid outfit, a military look, or even something more creative appeals more. The costume should make the wearer feel confident and attractive, so choose based on what excites you rather than what's popular.

Size-wise, costumes tend to run small because they're designed to be form-fitting and revealing. If you're between sizes, go up. A costume that's slightly too big is far more comfortable and more flattering than one that's cutting into you.

Costumes are generally not a high-investment item. Most people wear them a handful of times, so spending £50 on one doesn't always make sense. Our range sits mostly in the £15 to £35 bracket, which gives you a decent quality outfit that'll look good on the night and survive a few washes. The main difference between budget and premium costumes is the fabric. Cheaper ones use thinner polyester, while pricier ones use better quality satin or stretch fabrics. Wigs are similar. Budget wigs do the job for occasional use, but if you plan to wear one regularly, a slightly more expensive wig will look more natural and last longer.
